Hello Forum!
Was recently flicking through last Decembers Podcast, and came across the one about "Christmas Coronary", apparently a major rise in cardiac related problems in the health system due to the high consumption of (fatty) food and alcohol.
OK, Food - Heart Disease, I get the connection.
But what about alcohol?
I had a thought: As lipids (fats) can dissolve in alcohol, would high alcohol levels in your blood result in fat deposits on the walls of blood vessels coming loose, resulting in a blood clot?
I tried googling an answer, but
a) didn't really know how to word the question for a search engine
b) didn't understand much of the answers (I'm currently in first year paramedic uni, no big words for me!)
here's one link I found that *might* be of interest:

Cheers for any feedback guys!
